Heel
Jesus finished His promise by letting Adam and Eve know that though the Seed (special individual) God would destroy Satan, He wouldn't be able to do it without injury to Himself.
Injury to the heel here is symbolic of a non-fatal injury. This was God's way of letting us know that though humanities' deliverer would have to suffer to release us from Satan's power, His suffering would not be eternally fatal.
