Welcome!
Meet Kenneth Cox, Midnight Cry, Net 2000 speaker.
Finding God in a Sears Roebuck Catalog
It all began many years ago on a small farm in Oklahoma...
Fourteen-year-old Kenneth and his dad were hard at work in the fields when his mother Laura Belle, came running out to show them what she'd just discovered. They took a break from their work and gathered by the plow in the blazing Oklahoma sun to see what they had to share with them.
Just that morning, Kenneth's mom decided to order something for her family from the "Wish Book" (no malls back then!). So she walked to the adjoining farm to borrow the neighbor's Sears Roebuck Catalog.
When Laura Belle Cox got home and began her search through the catalog, she found a magazine tucked inside. Her interest was aroused, she began to read the little journal called Signs of the Times from cover to cover. In it was an article about the Sabbath. She felt impressed to share it with Kenneth and his dad who were working in the fields.
Right there by the plow the Cox family read the article together. Conviction gripped their hearts as the Holy Spirit began His marvelous work. They began a journey through God's Word that changed their lives for eternity.
A literature salesman had left the tract with the Cox's neighbor, Mrs. Morgan. She wasn't really interested, so she tucked the little magazine in the Sears Catalog and forgot about it.
That's where Laura Belle found the Signs of the Times while browsing for her order.
Soon the same literature evangelist visited the Cox family to answer their questions. He enrolled them in --Guess What-- a Voice of Prophecy Bible Course!
From time to time that dear man returned to the farm to guide the Cox family through their Bible lessons. Before long they accepted the truth they had studied together and were baptized.
Divine providence? A miracle? YES!
Kenneth has now joined the very ministry that changed his life, and together the Voice of Prophecy and he have embarked upon a satellite television evangelistic ministry is flooding the airwaves with the Gospel of Jesus Christ!
