- Who are these ten horns?
A. Tonight we are looking at a prophecy in Scripture that takes us right down to our day.
1. As we face the 21st century, many may think the world is our of control. It may well be, as far as man is concerned, but not God.

a. Babylon only lasted 70 years. Nebuchadnezzar ruled 40 years.
b. Archeologists have uncovered tablets upon which Kind Nebuchadnezzar had written these words: "Babylon- the city which is the delight of my eyes, and which I have glorified; may it last forever."

a. Under the leadership of Cyrus, Babylon was overthrown in 539 B.C..
b. God sets up kings. He mentioned Cyrus a hundred years before he was born and told how he would overthrow Babylo9n. Isaiah 45:1
c. The Scripture says that Babylon will never be rebuilt. Isaiah 13:19-21

a. The Grecian Empire, under the leadership of Alexander the Great, soon held control of the world.
b. A Greek historian said about Alexander, "I am persuaded there was no nation, city, nor people then in being whither his name did not reach
there seems to me to have been some divine hand presiding both over his birth and actions." [History Library Book 17, Chapter 12].
4. Legs of iron Pagan Rome Daniel 2:40.
a. The brass empire of Greece crumbled and passed under Roman rule at the Battle of Pydna, in 168 BC
b. Rome ruled longer than any other kingdom [168 BC-476 A.D.]
c. This was the power ruling when Christ was born.
d. Edward Gibbon, in his History of the Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire, Vol. 3, p.634 said: "The image of gold, or silver, or brass, that might serve to represent the nations and their kings. Were successively broken by the iron monarchy of Rome."

III. Europes last hour.
A. What is happening today that would indicate these ten kings are coming to power?
1. The quest of Europe to unite.
2. Our world is changing and being divided. We have the European Community, then the NAFTA treaty brought the United States, Canada and Mexico together. And at the same time, there is new technology which is making it impossible to move very far from each other.
3. Development of the European Common Market.
4. The longtime dream of European unity became a reality December 31, 1992 when 12 members of the European Economic Community [EEC] united their economic markets to create the largest trading block and ree market economy in the world
a. Time Magazine declared, "Project 1992 has given fresh momentum
to taking Western Europe further down the road to unity."
b. The official poster of the Council of Europe depicts the European Community as the Tower of Babel under construction, with twelve stars representing the twelve nations of the New Europe. The hope of the future is captured in the caption: "Europe: Many Tongues, One Voice."
B. The image that Nebuchadnezzar saw. Daniel 2:31-36
1.God will set up His kingodm "in the days of these kings" that is, the the days of England, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Portugal and Switzerland.
2. Gods Kingdom will be set up when the stone "cut out of the mountain without hands" breaks the image to pieces; which is at the second coming of Christ.
