    1. Christ at the Feast of Tabernacles. Christ's offer of living water. John 7:37-38
    2. Christ at Jacob's well. John 4:10
      1. A gift of God.

      3. It's Free
        1. Isaiah 55:1
        2. What do the Spirit and the Bride say? Revelation 22:17
        3. What can't give it?
          • Wisdom cannot impart it.
          • Power cannot fashion it.
          • Money cannot buy it.
          • Merit cannot procure it.
        4. What can give it?
          • Grace alone can give it.

        1. Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again. John 4:13
        2. The water of this life can only refresh for a season. But when the heat of hard times comes we go dry. The pond only overflows from the showers of rain. But the deep well has water in summer and winter.
  2. Water internal and external.
    1. Will become in him a fountain of living water. John 4:14
      1. Not of him, not upon him, not around him, but in him.
      2. Water became part of our being. Became part of our blood and is infused into every cell of our body.
      3. People who can hear and feel music.
        1. I cannot hear, feel or read music. You could teach me music all day long for the next ten years and it would always be external.
        2. Not the case with Dona Klein. She feels, hears and experiences music. It comes out of her inner most being.
    2. External religion
      1. I 'm not talking about show.
        1. I see enough of that today.
        2. Some people wear two hats, one for church and one for work.
      2. Forsaken the fountain.
        1. My people have committed two evils. Jeremiah 2:13
          • They have forsaken Me.
          • Hewn themselves broken cisterns that can hold no water
        2. This text is talking about people in the church

        7. Like gardens without water. For you shall be as a terebinth whose leaf fades, and as a garden that has no water. Isaiah 1:30
      3. Broken cisterns.

        5. Not having my own righteousness, but the righteousness which is from God by faith. Philippians 3:9
    3. Internal religion that comes by faith.
      1. Like a watered garden, the LORD will guid you continually. Isaiah 58:11
      2. Must be a work of the heart.
        1. Not a Jew outwardly, but a Jew inwardly. Romans 2:28-29

      5. Give me a man who does not depend upon the preacher, nor drink, nor warm-hearted friends, nor from crowded meetings, but has an inward vital experience by which he knows the Lord for himself, and has a personal dealing with a personal Savior. Such a man will follow the lamb though every preacher should die.
